Sheffield Pottery’s 42 Stoneware is one of our most unique clay bodies in color, texture, and versatility. 42 is great for small to medium sized handbuilding and wheel throwing at all sizes. The texture of this clay comes from both the variety of clays used in the blend, as well as the addition of coarse grog. 42 allows the user to explore the spectrum of the physical properties that this clay has to offer from rough textured work to ultra smooth. Dark orange in oxidation or brown to purple in reduction.
