A medium-coarse textured, reddish clay. It is similar to Rod's Bod in throwing qualities, but fires to a darker brown color and has the same iron speckling. Death Valley Red is a good clay for small to medium pottery.
Fired Shrinkage is 12.5% and Water Absorption is 0.8% when fired to cone 10.
