SAN FRANCISCO UNDERGLAZE WORKSHOP WITH LINDY SEPTEMBER 14 10am-1pm
Want to add color and details to your pottery? In our 3 hour workshop you’ll learn how to use underglaze in cone 10 reduction. We’ll cover best practices, application techniques, tools, and more. You’ll create your own test/reference piece as well as a designed piece of your choice.
Materials to Bring:
-2 bisqued pieces. Ideally at least a 3x4 sturdy cylinder or bowl shape for a test/reference piece, and one more piece you want to paint a design on with underglaze.
-Underglazes you own (if you have any, if not no problem), whether they have worked for you or not.
-Examples of finished work where you used underglaze, whether or not it was successful.
-Reference photos of underglaze designs you might be interested in creating. We can think as a group how they might be done.
